BUTTONED-UP
Buttoned Up is an ode to Victorian-era androgynous style; to feminist accessories and masculine
garments designed and worn together to define a new genre of creative self-expression. Drawing
inspiration from the likes of George Sand, Oscar Wilde, and Amelia Jenks Bloomer, this new collection
centers its gaze on the subtlety of the androgyne. The androgyne as the embodiment of graceful juxtaposition; as an embodied figure of speech, blithely oxymoronic; blurring the lines of
masculine and feminine conventions.
